Position: Forward Deployed Data Engineer
Job Location: InnovAccer, Inc. 101 Mission Street, Suite 1950, San Francisco, CA 94105 (allows for telecommuting and travel required to unanticipated client sites throughout US.)
Job Duties: With a high level of independent decision-making capability and minimum supervision, the Forward Deployed Data Engineer will be responsible for performing the following duties:
1. Analyzing customer needs to develop database solutions and strategies;
2. Designing the healthcare data platform to support business applications and ensure database performance;
3. Identifying relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows;
4. Collaborating with forward deployed engineers to integrate data into a stable and extensible pipeline;
5. Coordinating with clients and product engineering teams to build bespoke workflows;
6. Instructing clients on how to activate data themselves, either using SQL or BI tools or APIs;
7. Advancing working SQL knowledge;
8. Working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) and a variety of other databases; and
9. Explaining technical problems or concepts in a clear and concise way to non-technical users.
This position allows for telecommuting.
Travel required to unanticipated client sites throughout the US.
Education: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science,
Software Engineering/Management, or closely related.
Experience: Four (4) years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software
Engineer, Solution Architect, or closely related occupation.
Skills: Must have experience with:
- MS SQL Server;
- SAP BI Suite;
- Informatica EDC;
- SharePoint;
- MS Teams;
- Requirement gathering;
- Stakeholder management; and
- Project management.
