Requirements
The Accounting Manager is a key leadership position in the hotel's Finance Team responsible for assisting the Area Director of Finance with the overall financial control function of the hotel. Specific responsibilities include:
* Perform all accounting functions in the event assistance is needed* Effectively schedule, monitor, and evaluate departmental expenditures to stay within control systems* Assist in producing financial statements within designated time frame for distribution.* Verify compliance with Finance SOP Manual* Participate in and critique asset inventories* Preparation and knowledge of sales tax returns, as well as any other applicable tax liabilities* Manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, including collection calls as needed* Ensure the A/R aging percentages are in compliance with SOP* Verify credit cards are processed nightly by night audit* Verify cash deposits are made in a timely manner* Assist the Area Director of Finance with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts each period* Review any problem accounts with the Area Director of Finance and adjust entries to the general ledger as needed* Coordinate month end closing, prepare all required journal entries, perform analytical review of financial statements* Coordinate annual internal/external audit processes
