Job Summary:

SMSI, LLC is seeking a full-time Human Resources Administrator to join our Human Resources team. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Department. The position requires a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail. Candidate will have proven experience working in an administrative role, supporting multiple team members, and collaborating across functional teams. Given the rapid growth our business is experiencing, we require flexibility and foresight, ability to learn quickly and deploy new systems and processes, while ensuring confidentiality in operations. This role requires the HR Administrator to be highly organized and requires an understanding and ability to work within an HRIS platform. Training on specific systems will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the HR and recruiting team with administrative functions.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Process employee changes, such as work locations, promotions, contract etc.
  • Process background checks for new hires and any client onboarding requirements.
Requirements:
  • Must possess two to five years of Human Resource, Recruiting, and/or administrative experience in HR.
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills with a variety of teams and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite applications.
  • Initiative and resourcefulness to prioritize and complete projects within deadline.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion to escalate issues.
  • Requires background and preemployment drug screening for drug-free workplace.
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Federal Government experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
  • HR experience with onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Hands on experience with background and reference checks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Paycor is preferred.
Educational Requirement:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
