As an Auditor (Performance) you will perform assignments as part of complex performance audits, inspections, and evaluations of DOI programs and operations. Your work encompasses matters important to Indian and Native American communities and natural resources, land, and wildlife management. Your normal duties will include: Perform various audit, inspection, and evaluation assignments. Perform assignments as part of reviewing and evaluating procedures, systems, or programs for effectiveness and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Assure work performed and supporting evidence adequately supports the conclusions reached. Prepare work papers, interview and meeting notes, and written summaries of findings, reports, and briefing materials. Brief team leader, team members, and internal management officials on findings and explain significance of conclusions reached. You will serve as a Auditor (Performance) under the Pathways Recent Graduates Program within the Office of the Inspector General. The agency may non-competitively convert a Recent Graduate who is a U.S. Citizen to a term or permanent appointment in the competitive service, as long as the Recent Graduate successfully completes the OIG's one year developmental program and meets the OPM Qualification Standards for the targeted occupational series and grade level. There is no guarantee for conversion. If converted, the full performance level of this position is GS-13 with satisfactory performance. The duration of the Recent Graduate appointment is a trial period.
