Project Manager

General Requirements:
Requires a motivated, decisive individual with the ability to work within the constraints of scope, time and cost with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate can work well in a project team and can communicate technically with other team members. In addition the following abilities are desired:
  • Ability to take "ownership" of assignments and make critical project related decisions.
  • Able to manage projects and work in a fast paced environment with aggressive schedules and deadlines.
  • Able to work collaboratively with employees of all levels within the organization.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team-based environment is a necessity.
  • Capable of planning and managing numerous channels of communication.
  • Strong financial accounting/budgeting/estimating skills.
  • Available to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Professional attitude with strong communication and organizational skills.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead and manage the project team with the responsibility to successfully execute the project from initiating phase to closing phase.
  • Provide strategic thinking, planning, risk assessment and prioritization of project activities in order to achieve the project objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and control a detailed project schedule including definition major milestones and identification of critical path.
  • Responsible for project contract, scope and budget management.
  • Coordinate and track the development of design and engineering through Client schedules and spreadsheets.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular project design and engineering review meetings with the customer, record and distribute the information to the project team.
  • Oversee the requisition of materials, purchase orders, and shipping/logistics as required per project.
  • Foster customer relationships and work collaboratively with all internal and external groups to effectively and efficiently meet the customer's needs.
  • Reporting project performance & financial status to upper management.
Qualifications:
  • ABET Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in Business
  • 5 years of experience as a Project Manager involving industrial, chemical or mechanical processes with an emphasis on contract management and international business.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Extensive experience and high proficiency in PC skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • AutoDesk AutoCAD and Inventor general knowledge is a plus.
