Passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry? Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time. About the team: Tempus Next is an AI-enabled care pathway intelligence platform that improves adherence to clinical guidelines and enables providers to deliver the next step in a patient’s care journey. By adding an “intelligent layer” to routinely generated data, Tempus Next helps to find appropriate patients for proactive care and disease management. In particular, Tempus Next ingests multimodal data, runs AI-based algorithms, and surfaces insights for care teams to evaluate and take action through targeted notifications directly at the point of care. At Tempus, products are owned and developed by small, autonomous teams composed of developers, designers, scientists, and product managers. You, as the head of product for Next, and your team set the goals, build the software, deploy the code, and contribute to a growing software platform that will make a lasting impact in the field of cancer research and treatment. What we are looking for in you: You have a proven track record of working in large technology teams and driving them towards achieving common goals. You inspire, motivate, and guide others towards success. You have the ability to develop strategic product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the overall organizational goals. You have demonstrated success in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Software Engineers, QA Engineers, UX/UI Designers, and other stakeholders. You have strong project management skills, excellent organizational and communication skills combined with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges. You have a strong understanding of software projects’ development, roll-out, and support processes. You are comfortable utilizing health-oriented software applications & project management software applications. You have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can manage change effectively. What you will do: Lead and manage the Next product team and roadmap, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Champion the company values and the product vision (*the right care for the right patient at the right time*). Acquire deep knowledge of customer needs and the clinical space to productively interface with expert clinicians as we build out additional product features for Tempus Next. Provide guidance and support to the engineering team as they execute development work. Create, coordinate and execute roadmap initiatives through detailed feature requirements for the engineering, QA, and design teams to fully understand the scope of functionality and business drivers, so they can estimate and deliver in a timely manner with high quality. Support training of our custom-built natural language processing engine with new clinical terms. Design and validate custom reports for sales and account management teams, working closely with Data Viz Analyst. Dive into the details – from business logic to the high-level technical perspective – effectively turning high-level ideas and requirements into functional/technical specifications. Effectively communicate and collaborate with all groups in the organization over the entire product development lifecycle from requirements gathering to release to rollout training (Reporting, Account Management, Engineering, Sales, and Research teams).
