Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer II to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The position will be an essential part of our engineering team, giving thrust to the teamwork under the guidance of experienced professionals. Responsibilities will include the design and development and testing of electrical systems, components and products under supervision of senior electrical engineer. This position provides the field for you to explore your hands-on creativity and foundation for growth towards senior level electrical engineer.

What you'll be doing:

  • Under close supervision by senior engineer, design, development, and testing of electrical systems, components, and products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including senior engineers, to support the development of electrical systems that meet project requirements.
  • Lead/Participate in feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues under the guidance of senior engineers and implement effective solutions.
  • Learn and stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices, enhancing your technical skills.
  • Contribute to the selection and procurement of electrical components and materials
  • Lead learning opportunities and provide support to other team members and departments
  • Assist in project planning and budgeting activities.
  • Leading discussion and communication with external companies and/or academic partnership.
What you need to be successful:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field is considered plus
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, with a preference for mobility products and marine industry experience, which is a great plus.
  • Descent knowledge of electrical systems, circuit theory, and power distribution with a safety focus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety compliance across voltage levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and independence, prioritizing safety
