THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Life's Better Department at Lakeshirts (ie: Human Resources), is looking for a driven, experienced individual to help fulfill our tactical business objectives through hiring TEAM members in all departments and locations of the organization. Our ideal candidate will be focused on WOWing Our Customers by seeking out and placing the right individuals on the right seat on the bus at Lakeshirts. This individual will be responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success, playing a critical role in ensuring we hire the best possible talent.
This is an onsite position based in Detroit Lakes, MN. Hours are M-F 9a-5p.
A Typical Day (job functions) | Job Postings + Applicant Screening + Interviews + TEAMwork
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of our values-based recruitment process for all assigned positions
- Collaborate with leaders to create detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Collaborate with leaders, recruitment and marketing teams on recruitment strategies
- Post positions on job board and manage posting until filled
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in software
- Screen applicants and selects qualified candidates
- Conduct reference and for potential candidates
- Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of values-based interview questions and other hiring and selection materials
- Assist with interview process, attending and scheduling interviews with leaders
- Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Prepare and communicate offers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Attend and participate in job fairs and recruiting sessions
- Involvement in School Partnership Project, planting the seed to grow future team members
- Network within community and organizations to continually develop a pool of qualified candidates
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Communications, Sales/Marketing or related field
- 1-2 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assignments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable to change and shifts in daily priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics
- Effective creation and implementation of sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resources work
