POSITION SUMMARY:
Workwith the Assistant Vice President of Engineering &Architecture to facilitate and manage the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority's (AviationAuthority) engineering/architecture, and development projects, and programsfrom inception through final design, bid and award, and provide oversightthrough construction and closeout.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor'sdegree related to architecture, building construction, construction managementdisciplines and six (6) years of aviation related work experience for aconsulting firm, a construction company, a public agency, or an airportauthority in managing the design and construction of small and large scaleprojects or an equivalent combination of related education, training, and workexperience.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
- Proficient in use of computers.
- Knowledge of architecture and construction means and methods, and management principles.
- Knowledge of design, estimating, project and program scheduling.
- Efficient time management methods.
- Knowledge of the following areas: Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD); Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Building Information Modeling (BIM.).
- Must be able and willing to work both standard and non-standard work schedules, including weekends to accommodate airport operations.
- ValidFlorida driver's license.
- Professional Engineer, Architect, or General Contractor License is desirable.
- Certification in a specialty subject area that may benefit the Aviation Authority is desirable.
