Lead Systems Test Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develop verification for electronics products ensuring program milestones and quality are met.
  2. Analyze and understand System and Software requirements.
  3. Provide feedback on system requirements to ensure alignment of understanding and to verify they are testable.
  4. Drive improvements to the system test infrastructure capable of testing required aspects of the system, driving for as much automation as possible.
  5. Develop system tests to verify the system meets requirements and is assembled according to the architecture.
  6. Execute system tests, develop test reports, and communicate to stakeholders.
  7. Support validation lab with the creation and evaluation of verification equipment, providing procedural recommendations, and in evaluating test results.
  8. Support troubleshooting of product issues to determine root cause, propose solutions, and support necessary updates.
  9. Collaborate closely with system, software, and hardware development teams.
  10. Maintain legacy equipment and provide suggestions for the continuous improvement of the test environment, including equipment and architectural approaches.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement of system test processes and practices.
  12. Support system test aspects of program bids.
Other Responsibilities:

  2. ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management
  3. Purchasing/budgeting electronic parts and test equipment
  4. Support VA/VE efforts
  5. Mentor more junior engineers in system test.
