Summary:

This manager will report to the Director of Finance for the Physician Enterprise, together they will be responsible to ensure successful financial and clinical operations of MyMichigan Healths Physician Enterprise. This position works with the executive leadership team of MyMichigan Medical Group (MMG), the leadership of all MyMichigan Health subsidiaries and Corporate Finance to achieve our Purpose, Goals and Values. This position provides leadership by setting and maintaining standards and employee performance expectations to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives for the operations. The Finance Manager will provide direction and management expertise to MMG executive leadership, clinic managers, physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. This position is an advisor on the MMG Board of Directors, Ambulatory Care Committee, Dyad Forum and Vice Chair of Physician Compensation Plan Monitoring Committee.

Responsibilities:

(30%)* Responsible for planning, development, and all forms of fiscal management of the Physician Enterprise to ensure it operates within adjusted budget guidelines.

(30%)* Responsible for planning, contractual reviews, and development of all Provider Compensation agreements for MyMichigan Health to ensure we provide fair market compensation within our guidelines.

(20%)* Provide management and oversight of Physician and Advance Practice Provider(APP) compensation plans, ensuring adherence with all state and federal guidelines, as well as Stark and other fraud related compliance. Ensure Physicians and APPs are compensated at fair market value and that payroll is administered timely and correctly. Participate in provider contracting process.

(10%)* Participate in developing new clinical services, specifically: assist the subsidiary Presidents in identifying new service opportunities, the drafting of prospective budget, determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.

(10%)* Ensures adequate and appropriate staffing at clinics and hospital provider department. Approve and monitor staffing levels compared to benchmarks in all areas of the Physician Enterprise.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes and develops best practice financial policies.

In conjunction with the MMG Senior Leadership, facilitate implementation of the organizations strategic plan including prioritization and resource allocation for all providers.

Organize, manage, and plan the provider compensation plans for the Physician Enterprise to ensure accurate, reliable provider information that is aligned with Corporate Finance compliance.

Implements and maintains internal control procedures, supervises personnel with regards to systems and procedures and applies corrective measures.

Evaluates complex contractual structures for the providers and advises senior management on financial implications.

Present recommendations to MyMichigan Senior Leadership team with respect to costs, charges, rates, etc. for hiring new Physicians and APPs including their impact short-term and long-term financial sustainability.

Analyze and interpret data and develop clear and informative methods to present financial information, special projects and focused studies to both MMG stakeholders and MyMichigan Health stakeholders.

Provide expertise in performance measurement, process control and process improvement to support operational, financial and quality initiatives, particularly in the productivity versus compensation performance of Physicians and APPs.

Counsels managers and staff in their approach, analysis methods and decision-making.

In conjunction with the service line leaders, develop strategies to improve market share.

Will assist care-team leadership with ways to provide exceptional patient experience, increase access and improve coordination of care.

Contributes to the success of MyMichigan Health by participating in key system initiatives and performing other duties as needed or assigned.

Other responsibilities as assigned, included, but not limited to:

a) Provide input to and support corporate finance initiatives.

b) Ensure compliance with MyMichigan Healths closing calendar, planning deadlines and reporting requirements.

c) Establish and maintain the objectives and strategy for the finance department that are linked to the MyMichigan Health Corporate Finance objectives and strategy.

d) Coordinate and file all government required reports as required (many handled by Corporate Finance).

e) Assist in the development and monitoring of performance metrics.

f) Support process change.

MyMichigan Health is a technology driven organization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows.

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree

Other Information:
