Staffing Coordinator

Summary of Position: Works under the supervision of the Director, Access Capacity and Demand Management and the Logistics Center Staffing Manager and is responsible for predicting staffing needs, reviewing the staffing for the Float Pool, and making additions or changes to that schedule frequently. In addition to this, the Staffing Coordinator reviews the RN, LPN and PCA requests for each nursing unit as well as the sitter request list and allocates floating staff to the areas of greatest need. Participates in the development of staffing schedules for assigned areas.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the Logistics Center Manager, nursing supervision, clinical coordinators, and the float pool on reassignment of staff as needed on each clinical unit based on the census and budgetary framework.
  • Performs the staffing functions on all clinical units at Saratoga Hospital. Utilizing the float pool, determines accurate staffing level for RN, LPN and PCA support on each clinical unit. Accountable for monthly variance staffing reports.
  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of the information in the scheduling system.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of payroll/kronos.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Must demonstrate outstanding interpersonal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. One to three years experience in an administrative or staffing office preferred.

Salary Range: $17.25 - $28.27
Pay Grade: 18
Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
