Associate Attorney - Family Law

We are seeking a dedicated associate attorney to join our Family Law practice group. This role is based in our Harrisburg office and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced shareholders and associates on a wide range of family law matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients in family law areas including divorce, equitable distribution of property and assets, alimony, spousal support, child custody, and adoption.
  • Perform comprehensive legal research to support senior counsel and clients.
  • Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determining the best course of action.
  • Draft legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts.
  • Help prepare expert reports and mediation statements.
  • Represent clients in court appearances and prepare for trial including deposition preparation, discovery, and case preparation.
  • File court documents and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Draft discovery documents and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with clients and senior counsel to efficiently move cases toward resolution.
  • Maintain and update client files for easy access.
  • Work with senior counsel and marketing teams to develop the client base and meet billing requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • License to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of family law and trial experience in both common pleas and superior court.
  • Familiarity with Orphans’ Court and Prothonotary’s Offices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a focus on persuasive messaging.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to professionalism, cooperation, and teamwork.
  • Proactive approach to providing client-focused legal services.

Beneficial Qualifications:

  • Experience with iManage document management system.
  • Experience with electronic court document filing preferred.
  • Active Notary license.
