Job ID 12306 Location Case Main Campus Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE Working under general direction and minimal supervision, the Program Manager will contribute to overall planning, strategic development, administrative, and organizational management, and research support for the interprofessional, and interdisciplinary experiences and activities offered by the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research (hereafter referred to as the "office"). The program manager will demonstrate self-directed, proactive management of the courses, and other educational activities and all interprofessional and interdisciplinary research activities by the office. The manager will serve as a liaison between our office and the deans, faculty, staff and students within the Case Western Reserve University campus community (including the Office of the Provost and all of the Schools within the University), its affiliates (including Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth, University Hospitals, and the Veteran's Administration Hospital), and neighboring colleges and universities (Cleveland State University, NEOMED, Ohio University, University of Ohio, etc.). The program manager will establish and maintain relationships with key education leaders as well as administration, faculty, staff, students, residents, fellows, and others to facilitate the regular communication with these constituencies. The program manager must demonstrate the utmost professionalism and confidentiality when involved with sensitive educational matters. The program manager must maintain a mature, diplomatic, knowledgeable, and professional attitude at all times when representing the Office of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Manage projects and programs related to interprofessional and interdisciplinary education courses and other activities offered and involving the office, including comprehensive administration management of activities; organization on Canvas or other course management system (if applicable); scheduling for multi-school and multi-institution collaborations; communications to students, other learners, staff, faculty, and other stakeholders; support of committee meetings; and all other aspects of project management related to education activities. (45%) Coordinate research activities of the office, including management of grant applications, grant management (grant monitoring, budget reporting, distribution of funds and budgeting), implement research projects, complete data acquisition and analysis, draft and complete manuscripts, and create abstracts and other presentations for professional meetings and conferences. In collaboration with the associate provost, develop meeting agendas; create reports on research group activities; perform literature reviews and maintain familiarity with relevant scholarly literature; collect, manage and analyze quantitative and qualitative observational, interview, simulation, and survey data; build and maintain basic research databases; run queries, create tables and populate existing tables with new data; and assist with drafting and revising of scholarly products for dissemination of research findings (e.g., abstracts, conference presentations, journal articles, book chapters). (40%) Lead, manage, and design the study, analysis, and implementation of teamwork education and coaching interventions, including courses, workshops, simulations, and formal team research. Work with the Associate Provost of Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Education and Research to design new curricula for students, staff, medical residents and fellows, and/or faculty; train the trainers on use of the curriculum, and create the evaluation system that will study the efficacy of the curriculum.
