Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records of incoming and outgoing metal materials, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of quantities.
  • Coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, including scheduling deliveries, coordinating shipments, and optimizing transportation routes.
  • Leading and motivating warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinating maintenance and repair activities for warehouse equipment used in handling non-ferrous metals, such as sorting machines, balers, and shears.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within warehouse operations for non-ferrous metals, implementing solutions to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best practices for handling and storing non-ferrous metal materials, including waste management and pollution prevention measures.
  • Preparing regular reports on warehouse activities related to non-ferrous metals, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and safety performance, to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or metallurgy (preferred)
  • You have proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the non-ferrous metal recycling industry
  • You have strong knowledge of non-ferrous metals and their properties, grades, and market values
  • You have leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams
  • You are familiar with safety regulations and best practices in handling non-ferrous metals
  • You are experienced with inventory management systems and software
  • You have a analytical mindset and ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • You have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
