This role will be required in our Chicago office in a hybrid model (2-3x a week in office).
Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a vibrant part of Grubhub's culture and have played a critical role in building a more inclusive workplace, where every person feels a sense of belonging.
In support of our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI), the DEI Program Manager will be an integral player on the People Team and oversee Grubhub's Employee Resource Groups (GrubConnects). This role will be responsible for the end-to-end GrubConnect program management, including supporting GrubhConnect leadership initiatives and training, company-wide program and event planning, and budget management.
The Program Manager will be the bridge between our GrubConnect leadership and the business, helping to ensure voices are heard and concerns are addressed. This will require strong collaboration and communication skills, stakeholder management, strong detail orientation and organizational skills, comfort navigating and engaging in critical dialogue, and agility to operate in a fast-paced environment. While ERG program specific experience is not required, we are looking for someone who is passionate about cultivating and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace. This role will report into the DEI Team Lead.
Responsibilities
Manage and provide guidance to employee resource group leaders in developing and executing programs that promote engagement and inclusion across the organization
Partner with ERG leaders and Executive Sponsors to establish clear governance and goals that are tied to business impact and evaluated regularly
Partner with content and brand teams to raise awareness of ERG programming through internal and external channels
Manage the end-to-end programming efforts, which include administrate pre-event/program activities (i.e. communication, budget and resource alignment, scheduling, etc), day-of support and post-event (i.e. reporting on metrics tied to DEI strategy, post-implementation review, etc.).
Track ERG budget variance monthly and per event
Conduct internal applicant search process for ERG Leadership Teams annually
Leverage employee engagement data to measure progress, identify trends, and inform decision-making, which will be shared with Grubhub's Head of People and Global DEI teams
An understanding of Employee Resource Group best practices and industry trends
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters regarding identity and employee relations topics
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
A self-starter with demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities/projects
Leadership sophistication, ability to match style and approach with the audience
High level of dependability with a sense of urgency and results-orientation
Excellent attention to detail
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the full life cycle of event planning and execution
Experience in Human Resources, Communications, DEI, or ERG-related program management
Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite applications
Bachelor's degree required in related field (i.e. HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development or other relevant fields)
