**Job objective:** This is an exciting role in a growing company. As Buyer, you will source production components and manage a Bill of Materials (BOM) for several teams. The right person for this role has purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, is able to read blueprints/drawings, and is comfortable with ERP/PLM/MRP/MES systems and working in new product introduction. If you are someone who enjoys launching new products, influencing component selection, and owning a project from cradle-to-grave then this is the role for you.

****Duties****

* Perform RFI/RFP/RFQ for direct materials

* Place purchase orders for assigned materials aligned with company requirements.

* Keep vendors on track for deliverables.

* Maintain accurate and organized records.

* Issue purchase orders for production parts using a Bill of Materials (BOM).

* Mitigate supply risk, documenting and reporting supplier performance.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives for cost savings, quality improvement, and on-time delivery.

* Maintain strong supplier relationships.

****Required Qualifications****

* BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field

* 2+ years of procurement experience

* Understanding of supplier risk identification, mitigation and contingency planning

* Understanding of negotiation of price and terms and conditions

* US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required)
