About the job Accounting Manager

Position Overview:

As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, and compliance. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance activities, including payroll tax filings and reporting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional development and ensure departmental goals are met.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards; experience with IFRS is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
