ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Active practitioner with eligibility or certification by a board recognized by the American Board of Specialties. Pediatrician with exceptional skills in the care and treatment of Level I, II and III babies in addition to assuming medical directorship of the ADC Nursery and the responsibilities which are related to that position. Pediatrician would cover hospital schedule and share call coverage with the community/UTMB pediatricians. Participation in evening and weekend phone call coverage and attend any meeting deemed necessary by the Medical Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a MD or DO degree and a current and unrestricted license to practice in the State of Texas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Registration with Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA); Certification with American Heart Associate in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) every two years; Administrative experience.

SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.
