Job Description · Preparation of ocean import shipments and distribution of Import Documents. · General business support function as assigned. · Prepare ocean import shipments for assigned customers. This may include customs clearance, updating schedule report, tracking vessel schedule, etc. · Prepare ocean import documents for distribution to brokerage department and/or Customers’ Broker. · Coordinate pick-up and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines, steamship line, and/or bonded facilities to obtain necessary information to process shipments effectively. · Filing and data entry. · Issue freight bills and invoices to brokers and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within credit term. · Collaborate with the team to support various tasks and projects as needed by the company. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years direct Ocean Import experience. High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant relevant working experience. Computer skills including expert at MS Office. Familiar with Steamship line website and schedule. Knowledge of international commerce (Incoterms, customs regulations, etc.) desirable. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary. Should demonstrate a willingness and ability to quickly adapt to and learn new computer systems and software. Expert at MS Excel is a major plus.
