Description
Position Summary:
Would you like to work for a locally owned bank that supports the community you live in? We are hiring for a full-time Loan Assistant / Processor for the Baldwin office location. As a full-time Loan Assistant / Processor you will be responsible to support the Bank's Mortgage and Commercial lending functions and responsible for the management of the physical and electronic loan credit and collateral files.
Essential Duties May Include:
- Preparing and reviewing all applicable loan documents to meet closing requirements;
- Maintaining and safekeeping of credit and collateral files;
- Maintain an accurate tickler system to assure timely and complete document recordings;
- Collect current insurance policies and file documents accurately in the correct loan files and process paid loans;
- Obtain lien searches, UCC searches and releases;
- Orders appraisals, title insurance commitments, insurance evidence and other documentation necessary to establish Bank's collateral position;
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations and laws including but not limited to, The Bank Secrecy Act. Understands compliance issues and attends training as it relates to the position.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Needed: To be successful in this position you will have experience in producing business correspondence and reports; ability to organize work efficiently and to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks; demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability to provide the highest quality of customer service in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner consistent with Pillar Bank's values and standards. Experience in processing Mortgage/Real Estate loans preferred.
Required:
- Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous customer service experience is required;
- One year of related banking and loan processing experience preferred.
