Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC / DC Metro / Atlanta, GA / Austin, TX / Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. Your focus will be on new client acquisition, revenue generation, and strategic relationship-building. Here are the key responsibilities:
  1. New Business Development:
    • Take ownership of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Regularly engage with potential clients, established clients, and local/national business leaders to promote ICONMA's services.
  2. Revenue Generation:
    • Sell ICONMA's staffing services and solutions to clients across the United States and Canada, including Staffing Services, SOW, Solutions, Direct Hire, etc.
    • Evaluate client and market needs to tailor offerings effectively.
  3. Strategic Approach:
    • Penetrate target accounts and gain access to decision-makers through sales activities including cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn, conferences, events, etc.
    • Assess customer needs and craft compelling sales messages and solutions.
  4. Sales Strategy and Relationship Management:
    • Develop sales strategies based on client and company knowledge.
    • Assist with proposals as needed, evaluating potential projects, and reactivating previous clients.
    • Collaborate with customer contacts, including senior-level executives, to define needs and provide solutions.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and client needs.
    • Ability to build rapport and maintain excellent client relationships.
    • Reinforce and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Time Management and Planning:
    • Effective time management and planning skills.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Investigate and resolve client and problems promptly.
    • Communicate relevant issues and opportunities to the appropriate personnel.
    • Take ownership of incoming concerns and issues, providing effective problem resolution for clients.
    • Track, log, and report all client activity for the accounts you support.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Responsible for onboarding of clients with both client and ICONMA internal teams, as well as a seamless transition to assigned Account Support Specialist for day-to-day management.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Travel: Must be available for local and national travel - client meetings, conferences, events, etc.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or Marketing is required.
  • Sales Experience: Minimum 2 years of proven sales experience in the Staffing Industry. Sales experience in related fields (consulting, software products) will also be considered.
  • Account Management: Proficiency in managing client relationships.
  • Sales Record and Networking: Demonstrated success in networking and relationship-building.
  • Lead Conversion: Ability to produce sales leads and convert them into business opportunities.
  • Executive-Level Deals: Proven ability to negotiate and close sales deals with executive-level prospects.
  • Solution Development: Skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering effective solutions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.
  • Problem Resolution: Strong problem identification and resolution abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented and capable of documenting crucial notes.
  • Self-Motivation: Results-driven professional who collaborates effectively with recruiters and all management levels.
  • Leadership and Organization: Effective leadership, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Customer Service: Experience in problem resolution and customer service.
  • Deadline Management: Ability to meet metrics and deadlines under pressure.
  • Multitasking: Proficient in handling high volume and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Social Media and Lead Generation: Familiarity with social media and lead generation techniques.
