Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of body shop technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Plan and prioritize workflow to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage and develop repair plans in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required materials and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and materials, placing orders, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Train and mentor technicians on proper repair techniques and procedures
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure repairs meet quality standards before vehicles are released to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repair orders, time sheets, and inventory counts.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a body shop technician or foreman, preferably in an automotive repair facility
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Proficiency in collision repair techniques, including frame straightening, welding, and painting.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle construction and repair methods
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Certification from a recognized automotive repair training program or equivalent experience
