IT Manager of End User Compute

We are currently seeking a Manager of End User Computing (EUC) to join our team. This position will lead and manage the team responsible for implementation, management and support of all end user compute devices. This includes but is not limited to tablets, phones, thin clients, laptops, and workstations and includes functions such as device purchasing, security, support, asset tracking and retirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage mobile device management MDM tools such as Mobile Iron, Soti MobiControl or AirWatch to manage an inventory of end user compute devices
  • Must have experience to perform asset management of all EUC device from the purchasing process through to device retirement of OVER 30K DEVICES
  • Work with the support desk and end user population to provide support services
  • Ensure security of EUC devices
  • Manage and lead a team of EUC staff
  • Managing outsourced vendors for such activities as asset purchasing, provisioning, deploying and redeploying and destruction - MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING VERY LARGE INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDERS.
  • Work with the Cloud Team to deploy, manage and troubleshoot the environment
  • Ensure adherence to all department and company policies, processes and procedures
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of processes and standards
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various system resources
  • Stay up to date on new technologies/processes as they relate to End User Computing
  • Utilize trouble ticketing systems such as Service Now for ticket tracking

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a technical team required
  • At least 5 years of Corporate IT / Network Support with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and VMWARE PRODUCTS REQUIRED
  • EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF VMWARE HORIZON VIEW REQUIRED
  • ASSET MANAGEMENT - INVENTORY - REQUIRED
  • Extensive knowledge of technologies such as Altiris, Microsoft SCCM, SCOM, and others.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, Windows servers and other IT infrastructure in a mission critical enterprise environment
  • Excellent communication / documentation skills; attention to detail
  • Knowledge of change control processes

Required Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a technical team required
  • At least 5 years of Corporate IT / Network Support with solid technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and VMWare products required
  • Extensive knowledge of VMware Horizon View required
  • A can do attitude and ability to jump into the trenches
  • Extensive knowledge of technologies such as Altiris, Microsoft SCCM, SCOM, and others.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting workstations, Windows servers and other IT infrastructure in a mission critical enterprise environment
  • Excellent communication / documentation skills; attention to detail
  • Knowledge of change control processes
