*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee day-to-day logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food products.
* Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, drivers, and material handlers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
* Assist with monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and managing stock rotation to ensure proper handling of perishable goods (FIFO).
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements, including temperature control, hygiene, and proper storage practices.
* Coordinate delivery schedules and optimize transportation routes to ensure efficient distribution while minimizing costs and delivery times.
* Address operational issues promptly, such as delivery delays, inventory discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions, to minimize disruptions.
* Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and equipment maintenance. Generate reports as needed to track performance and efficiency.
* Work closely with other departments, including procurement, customer service, and production, to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
*Qualifications:*
* *Education:* High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
* *Experience:* Prior experience in a logistics, warehouse, or food distribution environment is preferred.
