Sales Manager Job Description: The Director of Saleswill develop and manage the day-to-day activities of the sales associate team. The successful Sales Manager will be responsible for training their sales associates, coaching, preparing regular sales forecasts, and ensuring the sales associates complete their quota and tasks daily. They provide ongoing professional development to motivate the sales staff to achieve sales targets, nurture leads, close deals, and grow revenue. Utilizing market analysis tools, the Sales Manager is a key player in determining customer behaviors, market trends, and competitor activity, and keeps their team "in-the-know” to cultivate successful business partnerships and generate new business. Responsibilities Recruiting, training, coaching, motivating, supporting, and supervising members of the sales team. Set clear individual and team daily and weekly targets and timelines for execution. Clearly demonstrate the development and implementation of an opportunity management process Demonstrate a defined process to capture all inbound opportunities and quotes, including date received, opportunity value, and probability to close. Develop a process to acknowledge to the customer that the quote has been received and establish timing for the expected response. Establish expectations for response time on all quotes and opportunities. Clearly identify when all quotes have been submitted to customer(s) Clearly define the timeline for quote follow-up, utilizing the opportunity management process above. Demonstrate a process for identifying new target sales channels and new potential markets for our client's products. Demonstrate the ability to identify potential customers within new sales channels and markets, and customer size to prioritize the sales team focus. Demonstrate the ability to identify key contacts / key decision makers within the target customer. Identify potentialproducts utilized by the target customer(s) Develop sales campaigns to reach out to the target markets/customers, including direct phone, email, and digital marketing outreach. Develop follow-up to phone/email campaigns, including frequency of follow-up, ultimately developing a customer contact cadence. Knowledge of company products to best support the sales team in problem-solving common client questions and concerns. Establish regularly scheduled product training for all sales associates. Ensure sales associates understand key features and benefits that differentiate our client's products. Collaboration with the marketing and data teams to ensure the sales team receives quality leads and sets achievable targets to pursue. Daily review of relevant KPIs, per the expectation of senior management. Maintain accurate records of all leads, quotes, follow-ups, emails, phone calls, and finalized sales by associate and department. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts and reports to assist the company in making sound business decisions and observing trends. Regularly evaluate the performance of the sales staff for growth and opportunity. Consistently evaluate sales practices and procedures to determine effectiveness and efficiency for generating desired revenue to meet targets and bring any calls to action or need for improvement to the attention of the CFO and CEO. Liaison with estimation, marketing, product development, and shipping departments to stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on all aspects of the customer experience from beginning to end. Addressing and resolving customer complaints and issues in a quick and timely fashion. Ensure all company sales, finance, and legal policies are observed. Qualifications: 2-3 years' keen understanding and experience in sales, preferably with B2B. Proficiency with MS Office & Excel required. 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively engage with the sales team to motivate them and drive success. Strong negotiation and closing skills to secure profitable deals. Self-motivated and target-driven with a results-oriented mindset. Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving skills, and a sense of urgency for successful project and sales execution on a measurable timeline. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Solid understanding of sales processes and techniques. Proficiency in CRM software and HubSpot to manage leads and sales activities. Education or Certifications for Sales Associates: Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, business management, marketing or a related field preferred.
