**Job Title: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
We have four openings for 2nd Shift CNC Machinist roles, with three of these in the lathe department. This role requires more of an actual machinist than a programmer. Contract to hire or direct placement, depending on the candidate.
-Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC Machining Centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.
-Ready machines, assign personnel to various machines, potentially perform basic preventative maintenance.
-Monday through Friday, 2:45PM-11PM.
-Minimal overtime required.
-$21-$26 per hour, with a $3 per hour shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
**Skills**
+ Experience in setting up CNC machines from scratch.
+ Experience in operating manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes.
+ Ability to use precision measuring tools.
+ Experience in recognizing worn tooling and changing in machine as required.
+ Ability to recognize various material types and adjust equipment accordingly.
+ Ability to assign personnel to various duties.
+ Ability to report defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products not in compliance with specifications.
**Job Type**
This is a permanent position.
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in Grand Haven, Michigan.
**Work Environment**
You will be working in a clean, medium-sized CNC shop with around 80 employees across all three shifts. The workplace comprises two buildings next to each other, one housing the Mills and the other the Lathes.
