Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: CNC MachinistSummary: Reporting to the Shop Manager, the CNC Machinist is responsible for Machining from blueprints and schematics. Primary Goals and Responsibilities:
  • Performing advanced setup operations (could be multiple a day)
  • Checks out programming and makes edits as needed
  • Operates CNC Machines to perform very complex series of machining operations on a very diverse line of work
  • Check parts to ensure they meet client specifications
  • Ability to run more than one machine at a time
  • Machining a variety of different materials
Role Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • An associates degree in Machine Tool is highly preferred
  • Specific evidence of supervisory training
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related position
  • Job Shop or Prototype experience
  • Experience in machining for a diverse industry base: Aviation, Mining, Defense, Rail, Shipbuilding, Heavy Equipment, Gas & Oil, and Machine Building
  • Proficiency reading and working from blueprints, sketches, and written specifications
  • Proficiency of GD&T
