This Systems Design Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of equipment design and component integration for the Arctic Packaged and Modular Chiller product lines. This includes modeling system performance, innovating new technology for future products, validating ideas and system performance in the laboratory.
Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):
Support lab validation: develop test plan, conduct and support lab testing, perform data analysis and review to identify any discrepancies or anomalies in the test results, collaborate with Modeling Engineers to calibrate the performance model, identify and troubleshoot any technical issues or challenges encountered during the validation process, communicate effectively with Engineering team to provide updates and insights.
Apply engineering knowledge to perform Chiller Performance Modeling to simulate and predict unit performance.
Chiller System Performance, Reliability, and Quality.
Conduct design FMEAs; develop and execute resulting risk mitigation plans.
Day to day:
- Thermal design
- Leverage Creo CAD software
- Run calculations using Compress
- GD&T knowledge is great for prints and overarching tolerance stacking
- Understand ASME section 8 pressure vessel codes
Skills:

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
NICE TO HAVE
Master's Degree in Engineering is a plus.
Design or application experience with HVAC products, thermodynamic computations, pressure vessel design, compressor, motor, controls, or heat transfer technologies and understanding of Data & Analytics, making data driven decisions and programming knowledge is a plus.
