Job Overview: Detail-oriented and adaptable individual to process Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding tied projects as a Talent Development Eligibility Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in determining eligibility for WIOA-funded programs and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating applicant qualifications, reviewing assessments, opening services, and maintain candidate documentation in the region's electronic filing system.Responsibilities:Eligibility DeterminationConduct thorough review of suitability and eligibility assessments to determine the eligibility of individuals applying for WIOA-funded programs.Conduct thorough review of financial aid applications submitted for processing and communicate missing information/elements.Interpret and apply federal and state guidelines to assess applicants' qualifications and program eligibility.Documentation and Record-KeepingMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of applicant information, assessments, and eligibility determinations.Ensure that all documentation complies with WIOA regulations and organizational standards.Provide timely eligibility determination based on WIOA criteria, answer questions, and guide internal intake team on missing elements required to determine eligibility.Collaborate with other team members to address any concerns or challenges faced by applicants.Compliance and ReportingStay informed about changes in WIOA regulations and guidelines.Ensure strict adherence to federal and state requirements in eligibility determination processes.Generate accurate reports related to number of applicants processed and participant eligibility.Coordination with Internal TeamsCollaborate with case managers, employment specialists, and other workforce development professionals to facilitate a comprehensive approach to client services.Participate in team meetings to discuss local workforce board changes and address any challenges.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Human Services, etc.) or equivalent work experience.Knowledge of WIOA regulations and eligibility requirements.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Strong basic math skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with workforce development programs and services is a plus.Proficient in using relevant software and databases for record-keeping.#J-18808-Ljbffr
