We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our supply chain, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
  • Train and manage a Warehouse Team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
  • Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, and customer service standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Lead the relationship with our freight forwarder and oversee domestic and international inbound logistics. Negotiate annual contracts for inbound logistics on behalf of Metal Ware.
  • Lead the relationship with our domestic carriers, both LTL and small parcel, and negotiate annual contracts for outbound logistics on behalf of Metal Ware.
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and receiving.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic logistics, including truckload, LTL, and small parcel shipments.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
