Human Resources Consultant

Our client, a locally owned and operated transportation company has an immediate need for maternity leave covereage for their Director of Human Resources. We are looking for someone who can start right away and work through October 2024. This is a 30-40 hour a week, W2 position that will follow a hybrid work schedule. This position reports to the Presdient/CEO and directly supervises 3 other employees; a HR Generalist, a Talent Aquisition Manager and a HR Administrative Assistant.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the administration, coordination, evaluation of all human resource functions and establish standards and procedures.
- Provide professional expertise and guidance in all areas of human resources to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
- Oversee open enrollement and benefits adminsitration process
- Oversee and monitor payroll process (Paycom)
Required Experience:
- A Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Human Resources, including processing payroll and handling benefits administration for medium to large workforces.
- Experience in a union environment, preferred.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or related HR certificate desired.
- Any combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of higher education degree.
- Experience with Paycom is a plus.
