What's the opportunity Reporting to the strategic sourcing manager, you will be responsible for delivering the strategic direction and the commercial management of chassis systems commodity.

What you will do: Project Management: Lead the procurement activities for assigned automotive projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives. Supplier Sourcing and Selection: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for project components and materials based on project requirements, quality standards, cost targets, and supplier capabilities. Negotiation and Contract Management: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards. Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. Cost Management: Monitor project budget and expenses related to procurement activities. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimise project costs without compromising quality or timelines. Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to procurement activities and develop mitigation plans to minimise impact on project objectives. Proactively address issues and challenges to ensure project continuity. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project requirements and timelines. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, implementing best practices and process enhancements to optimise efficiency and effectiveness. Who you are: Significant procurement experience in direct procurement in a manufacturing/production-based environment, ideally within automotive or aerospace, but not essential Experienced negotiator with a proven track record of end-to-end supply base management (strategy, sourcing, delivery, cost and management) Strong influencing skills with experience of creating and maintaining networks across all levels of the business Understand and analyse key cost drivers in manufacturing and supply chain management, with proven record of optimising costs which deliver value to the business Ability to develop and implement multi-system strategies to optimise cost, rationalise supply base, minimise risk and deliver increased value in technical attributes/performance About us and our culture… At Forseven, we are more than just a team of professionals; we are dynamic innovators, visionary collaborators and trailblazers who believe in making a difference.
