LABOR RELATIONS SPECIALISTHuman Resources (HR)-Labor Relations , to assist the manager of labor relations with the administration and interpretation of MITs seven collective bargaining agreements. Responsibilities include:Guiding DLC (departments, labs, and centers) managers/supervisors concerning contract compliance and other issues related to supervising union personnel and conflict resolution.Helping/advising managers/supervisors on addressing step I, II, and III grievances, conferring with labor and management representatives to resolve employee disputes.Working with managers/supervisors to collect documentation/data for responding to union information requests and producing reports.Attending joint labor-management meetings, contract negotiations, impact bargaining sessions, arbitrations, etc., recording notes and following up on action items.Developing/maintaining understanding of applicable collective bargaining and associated agreements, department policies, and MIT employment policies in order to advise managers about contract compliance.Working with HR colleagues and DLCs on the posting and bidding process for union positions, including updating job postings, ensuring compliance with posting requirements, reviewing applicants, and monitoring the process.Helping develop and schedule (and possibly conducting) training programs for supervisors/managers; drafting communications; and performing other duties as requested.#J-18808-Ljbffr
