Washington, United States Aveshka Full time

Financial Analyst Softtek Government Solutions is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to serve as part of a team in support of a key Customs and Border Protection (CBP) system. "Cornerstone" is a CBP owned and managed data system, which facilitates the flow of information to and from a variety of customers and data sources associated with the background investigation and adjudication process. We need your finance, analysis, and consulting experience to support a Background Investigation Manifest Database (Microsoft Access), which serves as a central repository of records, cataloging all transmitted background investigation cases, their subsequent receipt from vendors, and all invoices received. The database estimates the cost of each case and compares it to invoiced prices to ensure fidelity and accuracy and promotes expedited invoice processing. The database also allows CBP to monitor caseload and projected obligations to project financial performance in a given year and proactively identify known surpluses or deficits. Responsibilities: Ingest daily outgoing and incoming manifest data as produced by Cornerstone into the Database. Load and process invoices into the Database upon receipt from the vendor. Processing invoices includes detecting missing cases or identifying cases projected at a different rate than invoices and resolving them in collaboration with the Client and other Cornerstone personnel. Perform projection analysis to determine anticipated surpluses and deficits in a given contract or fiscal year based on the distribution of transmitted, outstanding, and forecasted cases broken down by vendor. Assist in updating a monthly report identifying all cases outstanding over 40 days broken down to the vendor level. Identify potential process improvements or economies to incorporate into the database or overall process. Provide ad-hoc analysis using database outputs to include average daily transmit case rate, average case price, and case distribution by each vendor. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. Required Experience: U.S. Citizenship. Three to five years of financial analyst experience. Deep experience working with Microsoft Access or other databases. Strong working knowledge of formula and data functionality in Microsoft Excel. Required Clearance: Active Top Secret or Public Trust with a T5 background investigation. Desired Qualifications: Active CBP BI. Experience with CBP. Analytical, design and problem-solving skills. Skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation. Understanding and awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
