This role reports to the District Sales Manager-Waterworks, SouthcentralDo not miss the opportunity to join a diverse group of people-centric professionals, thought leaders and rapid thinkers, entrepreneurs in spirit and status quo-fightersJob SummaryThe primary objective is to manage the sales territory and promote our specifiable and traditional piping products with emphasis on our Multi Fittings waterworks product line in our South Central region. The primary objective is to manage ad grow the sales territory and formulate and execute sales strategies. The position requires the individual to manage independent sales agents (reps) and network with our customers including distributor partners, contractors, engineers and end-users while developing long-term, trusting relationships.The region includes the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. The new member of the team will report to the south Central US District Sales Manager.Principal ResponsibilitiesManage and motivate local reps providing guidance and direction. Establish sales objectives for reps and monitor progress.Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks.Build and maintain strong, long-term and trusting customer relationships.Obtain favorable product specifications with local engineering firms.Plan and allocate time and resources to ensure sales goals are met.Track leads and project opportunities.Manage regional pricing strategy.Interact with internal departments, such as Customer Service, Operations, Logistics and Marketing.Provide technical presentations and on-site training to engineers, contractors and distributor partners.Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.Qualifications and ExperienceCollege degree is required (engineering or business is preferred).3-5 years sales experience preferred in the municipal / waterworks industry.Strong technical, analytical, negotiating and communication skills.Strong computer skills including MS Excel preferred.Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills.Familiarity with CRM software.Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.Regular travel within the sales territory is required.IPEX is committed to providing accommodations for people with disabilities throughout the recruitment process and, upon request, will work with qualified job applicants to provide suitable accommodation in a manner that takes into account the applicant's accessibility needs due to disability.
