Precise Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. The Systems Engineer will provide technical and engineering support services for PMA-209. The Engineer should have both software and hardware experience; understands the SETR process to assist Systems Engineering documentation (i.e. Systems Engineering Plans, Specifications, etc.) and SETR events (i.e. SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, TRR etc.). They will analyze requirements data for potential customers against our specifications and support any/all engineering activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.
  • Write procedures, work instructions and design practices criteria to standardize work products.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and applicable performance requirements.
  • Recommend and prepare inputs for test plans, procedures, etc. and provide other recommendation as needed.
Required Education:
  • BS Degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, or an Engineering Discipline. Four-year ABET accredited Engineering Degree preferred.
Required Experience: At least 3-10 years experience

Desired Experience:
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with the Department of Defense (DOD) System Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process.
  • Familiar with Naval Test Procedures.
  • Competent in MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
