Role Description
BTE is seeking a skilled rehab therapist (PT or OT) to join our dynamic medical device team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical therapy insights while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including software development, engineering, and product design teams to validate that products meet the necessary clinical applications.
- Take a leadership role in establishing clinical templates for rehabilitation equipment applications.
- Ensure that product applications are aligned with clinical best practices that drive optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct training and demonstrations for customers and internal staff
- Travel 50%-60% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to support product installations and conduct in-service training.
- Engage in research and publication of articles related to our systems, as part of the post-market surveillance process.
- Work closely with the regulatory team to provide clinical guidance on product applications, intended uses, and compliance standards.
- Providing domestic and international sales forces with clinical/sales support
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting, preferably in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of physical rehabilitation clinical management in medium to large institutional practices.
- Experience and comfort with technology and adaptive devices used in rehabilitation services.
- Familiarity with CPT billing codes and reimbursement practices.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment that includes sales, marketing, software development, engineering, and regulations for medical devices.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills for training and demonstrations.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting BTEs Research Council and academia from Hanover (Baltimore) office
Practical Experience: 5 Years minimum. Experience with at least one BTE product is highly preferred; experience with any technology equipment preferred
Education: Masters level or above Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or related field.
Professional License: Must have a current license in field of study and/or practice. License must be maintained.
Physical Demands: Lift/Push/Pull up to 75lbs Occasionally needed for setting up equipment. Kneel/Crouch/Stoop/Reach Occasionally needed for setting up equipment
Work Environment: Professional Office workspace and various physical therapy clinics, remote Home Office
