Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Executive Communications Specialist to support our government program in crafting effective communication strategies for senior executives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, a keen understanding of technical information, and the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable messages for executive audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and craft executive summaries, presentations, and briefing materials tailored for Senior Executive Service (SES) and other senior executives.
- Collaborate with technical teams to gather and interpret information, ensuring it is accurately represented and accessible to non-technical audiences.
- Revise and polish notes and debriefs into concise, engaging formats suitable for high-level discussions and decision-making.
- Create and maintain a repository of talking points, messages, and communication templates for various executive engagements.
- Assist in the development of strategic communication plans that align with organizational goals and enhance executive visibility.
- Provide guidance on effective communication techniques and best practices to senior leadership.
- Stay informed about relevant industry trends and issues to ensure content is timely and pertinent.
- Master's in Communications, English, Public Relations, or a related field: 8 years exp, 7 of which must be relevant OR
- Bachelor's in Communications, English, Public Relations, or a related field: 10 years relevant experience OR
- No degree: 16 years relevant experience
- Proven experience in executive communications, technical writing, or a similar role.
- Strong ability to translate technical content into digestible formats for senior executives.
- C-Suite level writing experience with strong ability to create meaningful slide decks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience working with government or public sector clients is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the information technology field, cybersecurity, and DHS components
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Certifications:
- Requires a Professional certification relevant to the field or professional
