Senior Systems Administrator Location: Downtown Houston, TX Duration: 06 Months plus Rate: DOE

The Senior Systems Administrator reports to the IT Technical Services Manager and is responsible for the administration, implementation, support, and management of a wide range of IT infrastructure systems; serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems and environments.

KNOWLEDGE Strong level of knowledge in Microsoft Azure Entra ID, Azure Resources and Technologies, Azure Security, Azure DevOps Infrastructure, Microsoft Office 365, Exchange On-Premises, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Windows System Administration, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity architecture and deployment, System performance monitoring tools, Effective project management techniques. Subject matter expert in the complete Microsoft technology stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Manage the day-to-day operations of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Microsoft Office 365. • Manage servers and systems, monitor system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. • Ensure that records of systems and equipment inventory are properly maintained. • Participate in projects to implement applications to the server infrastructure in support of a business need or a business solution to ensure operational reliability. • Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of critical system resources. • Develop and coordinate project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impact on the customer organizations. • Participate in planning and implementation of projects for system operations and systems administration. • Plan, organize, and document complex system design activities and configure systems to be consistent with policies/procedures. • Interface with customers, peers, and managers to evaluate and understand business needs. • Participate in the investigation and resolution of cybersecurity related incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS) • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, a related discipline or equivalent training and experience • Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years relevant Senior Systems Administrator experience including complex systems design, programming, and systems software and support. Must have experience in the design, planning, and implementation of reliable enterprise level systems. o Additional experience and/or knowledge of:  Microsoft Azure Entra ID administration and security  Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Exchange 2016, ProofPoint, Exchange Online Protection  Azure Workload Design, Implementation, Security, Enterprise Applications, App Integrations  Microsoft Azure Governance, Design, Planning, Policies, Security, Conditional Based Access  M365  Microsoft Teams  Microsoft Intune  Windows 2022, 2019, and 2016 Operating Systems  Active Directory, ADCS, DNS, WINS, DHCP, GPO  PKI  PowerShell  Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery • Skills: o Exceptional communication skills must have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organization and with individuals from diverse disciplines and levels of technical expertise. o Detail oriented and effective time management and organizational skills. o Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. o Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy. o Excellent customer service skills to support all personnel. o Ability to work effectively and cooperatively others and lead projects to a successful end. o Willingness and desire to learn new skills, technology, situations, and/or conditions. o Ability to function professionally and effectively in a high-pressure environment
