Job Description
Currently sourcing for Transmission Planning/Interconnection Study Engineers in the United States. Qualified candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in the industry working within software packages such as PSS/E or Powerworld. Applicants will serve as SMEs for generator interconnection-related studies and conduct analyses related to load flow, transient stability, and short circuit.
Specific Duties:
- Perform power system impact studies including load flow, short
- circuit, and dynamic stability analysis.
- Prepare reports, letters, one-line diagrams and transmission maps.
- Process, generate and maintain data as required for other
- engineering related studies.
- Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned
- while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.
- Identify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager.
- 2+ years of Transmission Planning
- 2+ years of PSS/E or Powerworld experience
- 2+ years of interconnection studies experience
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in power systems
- Experience with PSS/E and Powerworld
