**Position Summary:**

This position is responsible for serving food to the Guests of Lied Dining. Setting up and preparing appropriate beverages, and food line with the products that will be served for Community, paid and sponsored meals. Ensure proper portioning of product from the line while maintaining ServSafe standards. S/he must have a genuine concern for ensuring efficient guest service while presenting a professional and friendly manner to our guests and volunteers.

**Essential Responsibilities:**

* Remain knowledgeable on all food menu items

* Ensure that all food menu items are consistently served per portioning, and serving standards

* Plate food according to proper procedures

* Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures

* Rotate stock items as per established procedures

* Ensure that the food serving areas are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift

* Maintains a clean as you go approach throughout shift

* Labels, dates and signs all products per Standards of Operation

* Responsible for completion of daily serving and cooling logs food temperature

* Comply with all food safety rules, laws, protocols, and standards

* Adhere and maintain all Health Department rules and regulations

* Knowledge of proper operations and cleaning of all related equipment

* Proper use of all cleaning materials and appropriate knowledge of chemical handling (SDS sheets)

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

* Must be able to interact with guests and volunteers in a professional and friendly manner

* Possesses good public speaking, listens effectively, and responds clearly and directly.

* Must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity in decision-making, even when dealing with difficult situations.

* Must possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain departments appearance and operating standards.

**Qualifications:**

* Certificate/License: Clark County Health Card and ServSafe certified.

* Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends, as necessary.

**Physical Requirements:**

* Primarily works in a restaurant environment, but will also work throughout the agency and off site.

* Ability to communicate with volunteers, clients and co-workers.

* Ability to continuously sit and/or stand. Ability to climb stairs as needed.

* Ability to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds, push 125 pounds on a pushcart or other device.

* Operate in and out of areas between the temperatures of -10 degrees to 140 degrees.

* Work may be performed in smaller areas with a 3foot wide access.

* Ability to work in environmental factors that include extreme heat and cold; will be in/out of walk-ins of 10 degrees to 140 degrees with or without assistance.

This position pays $12.00 per hour.
