Job Description

Description: The Director of Human Resources will oversee the Human Resources Department. The Director is responsible for overseeing all staff to ensure they remain in compliance. The Director of Human Resources will support the Intake, Compliance, Service Coordination, and Programming Departments by communicating necessary updates and information as needed. Status & Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (1-4 evenings and 1 Saturday yearly) Location: Avon Office: 6748 E US HWY 36 Suite A Avon, IN 46123 Requirements: Onboard incoming professional staff professionals by setting up in Paylocity, collecting/verifying required documents/training, and completing set up in company systems Processing First Steps providers through the state's onboarding system. Researching and answering questions regarding professional staff payroll Respond to emails and phone calls from professional staff, and others in a timely manner Update Documents Needed spreadsheet daily and request expiring documents from all employees monthly through Paylocity Update outgoing HR email templates with current information/documents Conduct onboarding training and completion for direct support professionals Conduct orientation for all incoming professional staff Coordinate and conduct annual in-service for direct support professionals and professional staff Coordinate and conduct annual summer camp counselor documents, onboarding and training Implement all updates for company policies and procedures Update training documents for all staff Company Benefit coordinator

Insurance 401K Workers Compensation Unemployment Surveys

Supervise Human Resource team, including planning/conducting monthly 1:1 supervisions Ensure consistent communication with Admissions and Service Coordination departments to ensure timely processing of incoming individuals for services Create/update discipline specific Policies/Procedures and How To’s annually Complete monthly Level 2 report and present Attend all monthly Embracing Abilities company wide staff meetings, Director meetings, and Level 2 meetings Assist in planning and executing Company Wide Staffing Meetings, including completing slides Participate in bi-weekly supervisions Become a CPR Instructor

Teach CPR Classes Issue Certifications

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or experience in related field Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of the disability field and working with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Proficient with Google applications (Google calendar, Google docs, Google sheets, etc.) Reliable transportation Typical pre-employment requirements (Background Checks, Valid Driver’s License and car insurance, TB test) Previous Human Resources Skills Preferred Benefits Include: Medical, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance Short and Long Term Disability Flex time & Paid holidays 401K with match Trainings Company Outings
