Please review the following job description:

Markets, identifies, solicits, and arranges appropriate insurance coverage for clients by accessing markets (Contract and Brokerage). Responsibilities includes but not limited to underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, developing staff, maintaining workload, and managing written business up to and including the time of binding according to company guidelines and established CRC procedures. Serves as an intermediary between the agent and the insurance company while effectively providing leadership to a team of underwriters and brokers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Meet or exceed production targets as assigned by management.
2. Ensure adherence to carrier underwriting guidelines and CRC policies and procedures
3. Mentor and develop staff.
4. Develop, maintain and cultivate agent and company relationships.
5. Supervise a multi-person team ensuring all pertinent information is communicated.
6. Solicit, market, quote, bind and confirm new and existing business.
7. Negotiate the best terms and coverages available with accessible markets while properly communicating with all producers regarding submissions and decisions for new or renewal business in a timely manner.
8. Approve and disapprove endorsement requests according to internal and company guidelines.
9. Monitor production, hit ratios, renewal retention ratios spread of risks and other production and quality measures to minimize risk and predict future success.
10. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
11. Meet or exceed file documentation standards, comply with underwriting authority level standards and pass all audits performed by markets and our Internal Review Department.
12. Maintain necessary licenses to produce business.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
2. Five years of experience in underwriting or brokering E&S insurance products
3. A demonstrated track record of developing new associates and/or E&S programs that have made a significant impact on the performance of a wholesale insurance provider
4. Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
5. Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully develop new underwriters and brokers and/or create new products that have made a significant impact on an organization
6. Must be able to understand and analyze necessary components of insurance policies
7. Ability to understand the client's needs and have knowledge of the risk profiles associated
8. Recognize new trends and developments to the insurance industry and be able to incorporate into strategies
9. Must have knowledge and experience in commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
10. Ability to develop, foster, and maintain an excellent working relationship with agencies and carriers
11. Leadership and team skills
12. Maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
13. Good written and verbal skills
14. Maintain travel schedule depending on the needs of clients, agents and new business
15. Ability to work extended hours when necessary
