Overview
Will be responsible for the daily and monthly costing and assist in the closing cycle for the Tulsa Manufacturing Plant. Accountable for accurate product costing and inventory valuation. Prepares standard cost analyses to actuals. Reviews monthly manufacturing variances. Assists Manufacturing Cost Accounting Team with monthly journal entries, financial reporting and analysis. Supports Manufacturing Accounting Team with cycle count monitoring, reporting and audits.
Responsibilities
Assists Operations in establishing accurate product costs, studies product manufacturing processes, and adheres to effective costing procedures;
Supports the accurate recording of costs for financial purposes and does a thorough analysis of variances from standard cost;
Monitors the inventory cycle count process to ensure accuracy levels are adequate;
Works with the product development team on costing for new products;
Assists Manufacturing Finance Manager with year-end activities including year-end cost roll.
Assists Manufacturing Accounting Team in preparing and reporting plant performance metrics;
Prepares monthly account reconciliations for TMP balance sheet accounts;
Supports the Manufacturing Accounting Team with the annual budgeting and quarterly Forecasting process;
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manufacturing Finance Manager.
Experience
Undergraduate Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field is required,
2 years of accounting/manufacturing experience required,
Excellent written and oral communication skills,
Proficient in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Excel and Word capability at the intermediate level or beyond,
Travel requirements should be minimal.
