Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members. Required specific skills also includes knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items, as well as knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up and interpreting policies, procedures, and protocols and reviewing performance in compliance with recognized standards.Minimum Qualifications:*NON-CERTIFIED and CERTIFIED positions available*Other information:Required Education: HS Graduate or Equivalent GED.Required Credentials: HSPA (Health System Performance Assessment), CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician), CBSPDT (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution Technicians).Preferred Experience: Hospital related environment.Education:Essential:* HS Graduate or Equivalent GEDEducation equivalent experience:Essential:* Required - High School or EquivalentCredentials:Essential:* Credential Requirements in CommentsExperience:Essential:* Reference Other Information in SummaryFacility: BayCare Health System, Sterile Processing-WHHLocation: Winter HavenStatus: Full Time, Exempt: NoShift Hours: 2:30p - 11:00p variesShift: Shift 2Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = VariesWeekend Work: Every OtherOn Call: YesHow often will this team member be working remotely?
