THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN MERCED.

**POSITION SUMMARY**

Provide leadership to the sales team and solutions to our customers. This role will help develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase market share and profitability. The individual will be part of a team of Ag industry specialists responsible for sharing in the overall success of Holt Ag Solutions. This individual will oversee the activities and performance of their sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Assist and support leadership and Sales Team to achieve sales growth objectives.

* Develop targets and collaborate with Sales Operations and Territory Managers on continuous improvement objectives to deliver profitable growth and customer first sales experience.

* Manage sales teams processes and procedures according to implemented strategic plans. Includes taking appropriate actions and executing assigned tasks with intent to expand companys customer base and ensure future financial success.

* Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer and Holt internal personnel relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

* Understand financial reporting and execute plans to ensure financial success.

* Foster relationships with manufactures, understand their programs, along with their terms and conditions to achieve goals.

* Ensure inventory management goals for meeting customer needs, company ROI and turns goals by supporting and following implemented processes and procedures.

* Utilize basic computer programs and our business systems to ensure efficient operations and accuracy.

* Understand, promote and communicate with the Sales Team, manufacturer programs, quoting, operations procedures and closing tactics. Utilizing all departments and holding them accountable for achieving set goals. This will be managed and measured utilizing companys customer relations management CRM platform, KPI metrics and other required tools.

* Develop relationships with key players in other Holt companies to provide other solutions for customers.

* Regularly travel by vehicle within territory, ride along with Sales Team, visiting branches and customers, some overnight stay and air travel required as appropriate.

* Other duties as assigned.

Employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally work in outside weather conditions and exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

**3 years:** Relevant work experience and/or training and education. Must have three or more years of field sales or product support experience preferably in agricultural industry. Successful track record of customer management.
