Job Description

POSITION DETAILS

  • Position will Lead Electrical, Instrument/Control Systems Engineers, Designers and Drafters in support of projects in Petrochemical, Refinery and Midstream business lines
  • Evaluate resources required for project execution
  • Partner and coordinate with other disciplines
  • Coordinate with Project Controls to ensure alignment with budget and expenses
  • Electrical specification and selection (lighting, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, etc.)
  • One-line development
  • Electrical system modelling for arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination studies
  • Ensure that Brown and Root procedures, specifications, standards, technical guidance's and work instructions relative to the E I Department are followed
  • Partner with Discipline Managers and Project Managers to design and execute project plans
  • Ensure compliance with industry code, client and Brown and Root guidelines
  • Ensure safety in all design
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
  • B.S., Electrical Engineering is required
  • Experience utilizing SKM or ETAP
  • 5+ years of oil gas and/or chemical plant experience
  • Experience in leading Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Systems projects
  • Proficient in MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Must be physically able to conduct field trips for review of project materials and engage with field personnel
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to (25) lbs.
  • Work schedules may include extended hours
