Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY
  • The role involves overseeing Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control Systems Engineers, Designers, and Drafters in the execution of projects within the Petrochemical, Refinery, and Midstream sectors.
  • Assess the necessary resources for effective project delivery.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various engineering disciplines.
  • Work alongside Project Controls to maintain budgetary and expenditure alignment.
  • Responsible for the specification and selection of electrical components (lighting, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, etc.).
  • Develop one-line diagrams.
  • Conduct electrical system modeling for arc flash, load flow, and relay coordination studies.
  • Ensure adherence to Brown and Root's procedures, specifications, standards, technical guidelines, and work instructions relevant to the Electrical and Instrumentation Department.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Managers and Project Managers to formulate and implement project strategies.
  • Guarantee compliance with industry codes, client requirements, and Brown and Root's standards.
  • Prioritize safety in all design activities.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in using SKM or ETAP software.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in oil, gas, and/or chemical facility projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Electrical/Instrumentation/Control Systems initiatives.
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Physical capability to conduct site visits for project material reviews and engage with field personnel.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as required.
