If we can’t have fun doin’ it, then we’re doin’ it wrong Chief Financial Officer First and foremost, the CFO at Stinker gets to set the tone and direction for our Stinkin’ AMAZING finance team. Reporting to the President of the company, they are a key member of Stinker’s Leadership team and will be accountable for the timely delivery of financial results, ownership of financial reporting and maintenance of accounting records as well as ensuring progress towards our Stinkin’ Important Goals. This role is a leader for change and will be instrumental in structuring and implementing new financial processes as part of our implementation to PDI software. Leading by example, the successful CFO candidate will have a demonstrated ability to execute change through times of transition, lead team members through hands-on guidance and support and establish themselves as a trusted partner to their peers. What You’ll Do Foster an atmosphere of strong teamwork and a fun work environment through hands-on engagement and leadership. Set an example of Stinker Shared Values via daily actions. Provide guidance and strategic advice to the business and department Leaders on legal and regulatory financial matters; evaluate operations, identify barriers, and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Provide high level direction through effective coaching and development to team members to ensure the finance team is delivering results to meet both Operational and Business needs. Lead company quarterly review process for each business entity as well as special reviews. Maintain action lists and drive follow through on issues identified. Manage the banking relationships including securing all funding needed by the businesses and coordinating periodic strategic business reviews. Manage the companies’ relationships with external auditors. Serve as trustee for company 401K and Jones Family Irrevocable Trust. Ensure operational excellence of key accounting processes including audit, income tax data preparation, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, fixed assets and related processing and booking. Manage and continuously improve the system of internal controls for the business. Manage preparation of financial statements and reports including performance versus prior periods and versus budget. Review financial statements and identify and communicate issues. Establish metrics to measure progress towards meeting goals. Lead through mentorship of managers the annual financial planning and capital budgeting process. Lead multi-year financial planning process. Prepare longer-term historical analyses as needed. Prepare financial analyses of potential acquisitions and make recommendations. Manage the annual affiliate rent process and intercompany allocations process.

What You’ll Need A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Finance related field with a CPA required. Convenience Store/ fuel industry experience highly desired. Experience with PDI preferred. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and financial analysis, preferably in the retail industry. Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals. Ability to maintain integrity of confidential information. Occasional travel required as needed. Physical Requirements Work is performed under normal office working conditions in a temperature-controlled environment. May sit for long periods of time (generally an 8-hour shift).
